Have you ever wanted to see your city officials in action? Well
then, come on out and watch your elected city officials, from
surrounding cities, pit their skills against each other, as they
compete in a variety of amusing contests. Each city, hopes to
win the honor, of taking back to their city, our Council Challenge
plaque! This event is guaranteed to change the way you see your
city officials. |

GrillMaster Competition |
This is a tough
competition for those teams that know how to use a BBQ pit. All
teams must be entered in the Brisket Division. The other divisions
include: Beef Fajita, Chicken, Pork Spare Ribs, Brisket, and
Overall.

Doubles Horseshoe Pitching |
This event is scheduled for Saturday. 24th Annual
Tournament Registration Fee: $ TBA Per Team by 7/13/12 or $ TBA Per
Team after 7/13/12. First 30
paid teams receive free event t-shirts. Awards will be given for
1st through 3rd (2 per team) plus miscellaneous prizes. Maximum
of 60 paid teams. MUST
BRING YOUR OWN HORSESHOES! Pre-registration is required.

If you
like to throw washers, sign up for the Great Texas Mosquito
Festival's Doubles Washer Pitching to be held on Saturday.
First 30 paid teams will receive free event t-shirts.
Awards will be given for 1st through 5th (2 per team). Deadline
for registration Friday, July 27th by 9:00 a.m. or when maximum
of 72 paid teams have been reached. Registration

prizes and the thrill of this fun filled event. Everyone has fun,
including spectators of all ages! So come on out and enjoy the
experience this exciting event. There is no entry fee, once on

and Saturday, July 28th, 2012.

pesky mosquitoes are buzzing around ready to be called into the
park by that special sound, call, or voice. You will not want
to miss out on this one of a kind event. So mark you calendar
and don't forget to bring your cheering squad to share in the
excitement of the moment. remember, it is open season for those
pros that can call the largest, fastest, and bloodsucking mosquito
around. There is no entry fee, once on the festival grounds. You
may sign up right before this event begins on Saturday,
July 28th, 2012 under the Large Pavilion. Refer

This event
scheduled for Saturday, July 28th, 2012 offers
a 5 K Certified Course. Houston Run Timing will provide the
timing for our event again in 2012. Be prepared for "Hot" and "Humid"
weather. The first 125 paid entrants will receive a free
t-shirt. The registration fee includes one (2) day admission for
Friday and Saturday to our festival. Register

those good looking Mosquito legs. . . then put on your shorts
and come on out for the funniest event ever, as the contestants
strut their legs for the crowds and judges. You could be the
center of attention, as you buzz away, the winner of the best -
looking mosquito legs title "2012 Mosquito Legs". There is no entry
fee once on the festival grounds. So bring your friends, family,
and yourself to sign up for this event, right before it begins
on Saturday under the Large
Pavilion. Refer to the Schedule for Times. |

Calling
all you, O' You Beautiful Dolls out there...it is your time to
shine! Enter that special boy or girl in this mini pageant,
where the MC talks with those adorable kids to bring out the most
outrageous answers, adorable smiles, and some personalities you
would never expect. This event will be held on
Saturday, July 28th, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.. Pre-registration is required.

crawling time again...so parents get those babies crawling at
our return event the Skeeter Beaters Baby Crawling Contest.

Willie
Man-Chew's Treasure Chest |
Buy an
adult ticket to our festival and have a chance to open Willie
Man-Chew's Treasure Chest. It is filled with prizes waiting
for 25 lucky festival patrons to unlock the chest each evening
to see what they have won. The Brazoswood Gate will be issuing
keys each evening, between the hours of 6:01 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
each evening,
to the first 100 paid adult tickets sold on Thursday, July
26th, the first 200 paid adult tickets sold on Friday,
July 27th, and the first 250 paid adult tickets sold on
Saturday, July 28th, 2012. Willie Man-Chew's Treasure
Chest will be waiting, at the Great Texas Mosquito Festival's
souvenir booth, for those lucky key holders to unlock his chest
and reveal his or her prizes. |
